Wisconsin goes cold from the field, falls to Ohio State – WKOW

COLUMBUS, OH. (WKOW) — After six straight wins propelled them into the national conversation, the Badger basketball team couldn’t execute offensively Saturday and fell at Ohio State.
The Badgers made just 22 of their 65 shots, falling to the Buckeyes 73-55. Ohio State star E.J. Liddell put on a clinic, recording 28 points, nine rebounds, four assists, two blocks and a steal.
Wisconsin’s own star, sophomore guard Johnny Davis, put on a show himself, putting up 24 points, seven rebounds, three assists and three steals. However, where Liddell’s teammates provided support, Davis’ teammates largely had a rough day.
Fifth-year senior Brad Davison chipped in 13 points, but cooled off quickly after a hot start. Three of Wisconsin’s starters (Chucky Hepburn, Tyler Wahl and Steven Crowl) combined to shoot 3-of-18 from the field for eight total points and six total turnovers.
Wisconsin won’t have to wait long to bounce back, with their next three games against lower-level opponents in Nicholls (12/15), Morgan State (12/23) and Illinois State (12/29).
