There are talented pool players, and then there is Gareth Potts – a four-time world champion eight-ball pool player and three-time World Master in Chinese eight-ball pool.
If anyone needed proof of how ridiculously good Potts is, then this will give you an idea. A video is going viral showing Potts cleaning up a game in under 30 seconds. You have to watch it to believe it.
In his Ultimate Pool match against fellow pro Jake McCartney, Potts puts his unbeatable potting skills to good use.
As seen in the video, Potts manages to pot all seven yellows and the black ball in under 30 seconds. Staggering!
A performance as such, it wasn’t surprising to see even the commentators in disbelief. They coudn’t believe what that they were seeing.
One commentator could be heard saying: “This is ridiculous… you are joking!”
The other joins in, and says, “That must’ve been what, 20 seconds or something?”
Speaking about this incredible clip, Ultimate Pool TV wrote: “Gareth Potts produced possibly the fastest 8-ball pool break and clearance under pressure, ever, during his opening round Champion of Champions Shootout match against Australia’s Jake McCartney.”
No one has the right to be this good, it’s just stunning.
Safe to say the viewers were just as amazed by the feat, taking to the comments section to share their praise for Potts.
“Gareth Potts is the best pool player of all time ,” one user wrote.
Superb Skill by Gareth to have such a quick Break and Dish under pressure like that,” another added.
In August, Gareth Potts become another star addition to the Ultimate Pool Professional Series.
Over the past several years, Potts has carved out a very successful and popular career in Asia playing Chinese 8-Ball, where he won the World Chinese 8-Ball Masters in 2013, 2014 and 2017, as well as the 2018 US Open in Los Angeles.
