News

Disney is working on a new ‘Sister Act’ movie. Comicbook.com reports ‘Sister Act 3’ is set to premiere exclusively on the company’s premiere streaming service Disney+.
‘Insecure’ co-executive producer Regina Hicks and ‘Star’ showrunner Karin Gist are writing the sequel. Hicks and Gist previously wrote Disney’s ‘Camp Rock’ and ‘Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam’ together. Plot details for the upcoming film have not yet been released. The 1992 original starred Whoopi Goldberg as a lounge singer who takes refuge in a convent after she witnesses a mob crime. Goldberg previously expressed an interest in directing the new movie and said that it might be “time for someone [else]” to step into her old role.
