Learn About Living & Working in Space with two NASA Astronauts

Fifteen years after the first space station module was launched, we have had dozens of astronauts who have lived and worked 240 miles off the planet on the International Space Station. Hear about what it’s like to live and work in low Earth orbit from astronaut Chris Cassidy, who recently returned from spending 166 days aboard the station. He orbited the Earth 2,656 times and traveled more than 70 million miles.

Cassidy was joined by astronaut Leland Melvin, currently the Associate Administrator for Education at NASA, who reflected on his time in space and how students across the country can get involved in the future of human spaceflight with NASA challenges and projects that those in K-12 classrooms can participate in.
