A documentary about the late rapper Lil Peep is in the works. SF Gate reports that the project has an unlikely executive producer. a representative for Peep’s estate told TheWrap, the reclusive, Palme D’Or winning director of “The Tree of Life” and “The Thin Red Line,” Terrence Malick is tied the project.
Malick will executive produce the documentary that will follow the life of Peep. A new soundtrack album featuring previously unheard and unfinished material from the late rapper may also be included in the film. The New York Times broke the news in a profile about the rapper’s legacy. The publication noted that Malick is a close friend of Peep’s mother Liza Womack and the Womack family.
